Crescent comes from the Latin word crescere which means to increase, the crescent moon is a sliver of reflected light reminding us of more to come. It also represents the virgin or maiden and the bright hope of youth.
A clue to a great cosmic order, a hope in things bigger than ourselves
represent flight and freedom and the ability to transcend barriers.
Significant in many world religions and often associated with perfection or completeness. Also linked to intuition and inner wisdom.
